The Flocare® PEG/J tube consist of a Flocare Bengmark PEJ CH9 polyurethane tube which is endoscopically placed into the jejunum through a PEG CH 18 tube. The Bengmark spiral at the end of the tube has an anchoring effect. The tube is latex and DEHP free. A PEG/J is especially suited for longer-term (>8 weeks) enteral feeding into the jejunum. Placement of a PEG/J can only be performed by a physician. Placement of a PEG/J can offer you multiple advantages: a PEG/J is a discrete tube, placed under the clothes, and patients no longer have to experience potential irritations of the skin around nose, or having a the tube in their face.
