Flocare® Duo-Tube Ch 18 9
The Flocare® Duo-Tube is a nasal, double lumen tube allowing simultaneous intestinal feeding and gastric drainage. The special design of the Duo-Tube allows the removal of one of the tubes (gastric or jejunal) while keeping the other in place, without additional endoscopy. This enables you to employ the enteral route (instead of parenteral access). This is the preferred route in many patients as it improves outcomes and lowers the risk on complications.
ADVICE BOX
A gastrostomy tube is the preferred option in long-term tube nutrition, as this avoids discomfort and complications experienced with a nasal tube and may provide increased social acceptance and mobility for your patient.

Ch 18 - 110cm transparent gastric tube, with radio-opaque line, distal open end, for the passage of the intestinal tube; 8 lateral outlets for gastric drainage
Ch 9 - 178cm blue fully radio-opaque jejunal tube with 2 lateral outlets and 4 additional lateral holes with an antennal tip

Bengmark Spiral, minimising risk of tube dislocation (2.5 loops, ca 23cm at the distal end of the jejunal tube)
Siliconized guidewire and multi-purpose connector
Intestinal feeding connector (Touhy Borst adaptor) with male luer lock to adjust the length of the Ch 9 intestinal tube (also separately available)
Duo-tube removal tube included in blister, to enable removal of the gastric tube while keeping the jejunal tube in situ
